Quite simply, one of the 20 greatest songs of all-time!!! This song has an incredible harmony, tempo, and orchestral symphony; and the lyrics just blow me away!!! Paul McCartney was said to be envious when he heard this for the first time, saying to reporters, "My God, why did we (referring to the Beatles) not record this incredible masterpiece!!!" It definitely fits in the category of "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". This song will forever be ELO's signature song!!! Brilliant!!!

I love upbeat songs like this one or others like Johnny Nash's - I Can See Clearly Now... which btw is also about the rain passing in a metaphor of hard times gone or at least conquered :) Life is great, and now is the perfect time to live it friends! :)

The Beatles were a great rock band, in how the times changed them and they influenced the times. But make no doubt about it, the Beatles were about the songs, great great songs and arrangements to those songs. Every album, especially from Rubber Soul on is a masterpiece.
